Hello Guys
So a cuple weeks ago I went to Zurich with Romea, when we saw a georgeous-looking café which we thought we had to go to one day. Quite some time ago my mum told me about a café which a friend of hers recomended and we intended to go there the other day. So when we got there I had to laugh really hard because it was the same Romea and I saw the day before, Babu's Bakery and Coffehouse. We had a really lovely breakfast there, my mum had oatmeal with cranberrys, a croissant and a big Latte, I had bluberry-pancakes and a coconut-latte. It was soo yummy! we stayed there for like 3 hours, the ambiance is so nice, no wonder it belongs to a interior-design-shop. Before we left I also had a banana-lemon-coconut smoothie, so delicious!
My mum and I walked around Zurich for a bit and then went home and my brother came home from his vacation.
Have a lovely day, Myrtha

Quick update, yes, I'm still alive. Pictures of a lovely breakfast with my mom are coming soon!

The last few days have been so hot, ice cold lemonade is the best treat! Tomorrow I'm going to the lake of Zurich with a friend, swimming and eating sushi. Best thing to do to enjoy the beautiful weather, looking forward!

Youth Parade
Hello everyone
As I mentioned in my last post, the anual youth parade took place, lazy as I am I'm posting about it a week later, sorry!
So about the youth parade, it is a really old celebration which goes back in time of my really old town. In the morning there is a parade of all students, walking through the nostalgic streets, girls all in with with cornflower in their hairs and hands, boys with white shirt and blue trousers. This is like sacred and you MUST stick to the dresscode. It's really weird cause I've walked with that parade for 10 years now and this is the first time I just stood at the edge of the street and watched but I guess I need to get used to that strange feeling.
So in the afternoon there is a battle reconstructed by volunteers. The two parties are Students from the 5th to 9th grade all in blue and the other party consists of different clubs of adults which dress up differently. They march throught the town and then they stage fights and it all ends with a burning castle and the students winning.
You can see this is all really traditional and for those that don't come form here it might seem all weird and strange but I like it really much and it showes the solidarity of the citizen and it just belongs here.

How to kill time
Hello my dears
As a few of you might know, I'm gonna spend my exchange year in the states. Sadly I don't have a family yet and don't know where I'm gonna live I mean the States are a pretty big territory. So I'm trying not to be to anxious about the fact that I don't even know when I'm leaving Switzerland.
Anyways we already have summerbreak and I'm trying to distract myself with lots of city-trips. On Monday the lovely Romea and I, we went to Bern since I had to go there to get my visa anyways. It was really nice and we ate Lunch in a gorgeous, little café, where you can compose your own bagel. It was really delicious and yummy.
And yesterday Andrina, Romea and I, we went to Zurich to have a picnic at the lake. After eating mouth-watering pasta-salad, we went a little shopping and then we headed to a new café, where you can have bubble tea, my new favorite drink. After we payed a quick visit to Zara and I fell in love with my new bag.
And this week is a special week because in my town they celebrate the anual youthparade and now everyone is preparing and decorating I always love these really traditional small-town-celebrations.
