LIFE LATELY # IV

Well hello everyone
We have snoww!!! Yaay, have been waiting for this a long time. Then I was thinking how about updating my blog. So here you go:

Ashley and I were invited to our friend's sweet sixteen party. It was my first American birthdayparty, with a photocorner, DJ, balloons food and cake. It was a lot of fun!

Last Saturday, Ashley, Casey, Olivia and I decided that we want to go take pictures downtown since we had to take them anyways for photography. It was a lot of fun and I really like the results with the old downtown buildings as background. That night we died our hair and I now have a purple streak in the back of my neck, pictures will come soon.

On Monday we had a teacher workday and that means we didn't have school. However, in the evening we had a track meet and I (finally) jumped over the bar. *stolz* (even though it is only 6ft haha)

Well I wish y'all a nice weekend and enjoy the snow (for those who have any).

WEST VIRGINIA AND NEW YEAR!

After Christmas we went to West Virginia to see the other part of the family. It was my first time there and I must say it is very beautiful and interesting. It was nice to see the family again and to meet other relatives which I haven’t seen yet. It even started snowing, what of course make my Swiss heart beat faster.

For New Years I went to a festival with Jessie and my cousins Sarah, David and Chris. It was fun, I tried snowboarding on Snowflex, a hill with an artificial carpet-like cover. I must admit, I failed. Hahah but I loved Ice Skating a whole lot! In the evening, there was a concert and then we went to the Christmas tree burning which was a lot of fun and very beautiful. Happy New Year!

CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas Day
We were woken up early on Christmas Day and as we went down the stairs a lovely lighted Christmastree was gleaming. I had never seen so many presents under one Christmas tree and there were beautifully arranged stockings, one for everyone. We were listening to Christmas music and opening presents. I was not expecting so many presents for me. They are all superb and I love each one of them. After we finished unwrapping, we ate the traditional Christmas breakfast which consist out of an very yummy egg casserole and coffee cake. Absolutely yummylicious! After the brunch we went to the movie theatre where we met two friends and we went to see Les Misérables. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. The acting was very good and their voices just breathtaking (probably the reason why I went to see it again). After the movie we went to my Uncle Tom’s house where the whole big family gathered together. We had a delicious dinner, casserole, tenderloin, double baked potatoes and pies. Awesome food, awesome people, what more do you need? Afterwards we took our dogs for a Christmas walk. It was really nice to come home into a warm home and light the fire. We watched Christmas Vacations and then slowly went to bed. I had a wonderful Christmastime, thank you everyone!

CHRISTMAS EVE

First of all, I hope Y'all had a beautiful Christmas.
It was my very first American Christmas and it was lovely.
On Christmas Eve, we went to my Aunt Lisa’s house for the traditional dinner. I had helped her earlier in the day to prepare the lamb. The dinner consisted out of lamb, rice and green beans and was absolutely stunning. As dessert, Lisa made a chocolate pie which we ate with peppermint ice cream. The combination of peppermint and chocolate has always been a bit odd to me but now I actually like it. It was an wonderful evening! Then we had to go home and go to bed since Santa comes and fills our stocking.
